The third and final stop…

The Roadshow was in Wikwemikong at the parking lot of Wasse-Abin High School on Manitoulin Island from October 1 – October 26 –

Artist Dolly Peltier with participants created artwork to add to the Roadshow. ‘The Spirit of Women’ series of workshops had participants explore self-expression through painting and beading. In connection to the REDdress movement, medallions were created and placed on a red dress to be a visual reminder of missing and murdered Indigenous women. The Roadshow was open to the public for viewing, Monday-Friday, 1-3pm (weather permitting).

The Roadshow visited Sault Ste Marie’s Station Mall parking lot (Elgin side) from August 28 – September 22 –

The second stop of it’s Northern Tour

Local Ojibwe artist Adora-Lee Nawagesic lead a group of local community members through a series of four workshops to and created a Sault Ste. Marie exhibit!

The Roadshow visited Thunder Bay’s Paterson Park from July 26th – August 26th –

The first stop of it’s Northern Tour
Local filmmaker and visual artist Michelle Derosier with participants in four workshops and created a Thunder Bay exhibit titled “Basigwii: she/he is standing up”.
